Philip Gardelis aka Zenjungle
Tenor and soprano saxophones, synths, piano, percussion. "Improvisation is the main aspect in my work whenever I play the sax or the piano. I never know where the sound will lead me till I start playing.
For me sound is a journey, I don't want to use standard methods, I always want to try new things, change my style.  Working with Tunedin52 I started to get  deeper into sound experiments. I still smile when I remember the day  I sent to him my part for the 'knot' song.  He listened to it and then I explained to him the process.   I started playing with my woodwinds, some percussion etc, and then I recorded all the stuff that I found on my desk before going to the kitchen and recorded whatever was in front of me.  When I told that to John he said that he had done the same thing. Till that time none of us knew. We had passed all these sounds through filters so none of us could understand where they came from. We communicate really well. The inner orbits album is important to us, because it mostly contains the first tracks that we did together. It reflects our collaboration, our friendship, our communication and our love for music."

John Daly aka Tunedin52
Guitar, loopstation, ebow, delays, Gleetchlab, field recordings, percussion. "I have a love for many different types of music, but I only say that because I think the majority of people listen to music through type or genre.  I do not, but I want anyone who reads this to understand my interests and motivation. So really for me it's all just sound.  I have listened to a world of sound - all jazz, modern classical, psychedelic rock, traditional music from other cultures and all facets of house music but I have a free approach to creating sounds  - source can be anything, tuning variable, rhythm off-kilter with an improvised melody. I will discover something and pursue it for a while - explore the possibilities and enjoy the results.  A lot of the time I forget how I made the sounds and wonder how I composed such pieces. Working with Zenjungle has added a new level of intrigue into the creative process - I never know what his response might be.  Some day we may play live but we know that we could never play what we have recorded - improvisation is a key element in our process.  I do struggle with the idea of playing a prepared piece of music - though I enjoy playing guitar to my partner's singing of a traditional folk song.  I'm not sure how many times I would enjoy such a performance but we only play when we are having fun."

The most powerful visual and conceptual symbols were, are and will be of an oscillating resonance, perpetually circulating in and around a collective consciousness.
As a composer, performer and listener, I try to be aware of this idea as much as possible, though it is constantly changing within me.
The music I create is a collection of channeled sounds that existed in some form or other, long before it passed through me.

Conceptual multi-genre artist from Kiyiv (Ukraine) working under a lot of aliases. First audio recordings date back to 2002. Since 2010 is founder of Genetic Trance multimedia net-label, which aim is to promote maximum informational and artistic freedom of self-expression. C o n s i s t e n c y   N a t u r e   aka   Dishdawash
The artistic outfit of Dishdawash, who runs the quaint Effluvia Recordings. Often alone, but also frequently accompanied by a revolving cast of other musicians tossing their talents into surreal dreamscapes of hypnagogic sound delirium or lucidity, ebbing and flowing as it does in our lives. Originally inspired by a field recording of the ingenious shouting of a homeless psychotic decades ago, this project of sound and words and pictures took flight in the autumn of 2010. Art as a mapping of genetics, a false representation of embedded feelings from dreams/nightmares/trances, an extension of ife's physical or emotional growth. The reasons for these sound fluxuate, often from ideas that are flawed, uncertain, paradoxical, wrong. There is one noble truth that blows all of this away like dust. Consistency Nature exists. http://consistencynature.wordpress.com/

An artist with protean talents, Méryll Ampe sets out bridges between sound and sculpture by establishing her work on the notion of incorporeality.
In her sound artworks she fiddles and carves out of sounds collected in the everyday life, immersing her audience into a sphere of landscapes, textures and lightness.

As a child, Hafftka received piano lesson from a classical piano teacher. Improvising between lessons was a great experience of freedom, but the lessons themselves were a torture because of the strict instructor. Michael gave up music during his early years as a painter. He later picked it up again and recorded his own compositions under the names Defective Chords and Feeding Goats. When writing proved an inadequate outlet of expression, Hafftka began to paint—an experience that proved revelatory and self-defining. Hafftka worked as an artist while supporting himself with odd jobs.  Among the New York galleries that subsequently have featured his work are: the Rosa Esman Gallery, the Aberbach Gallery, the Mary Ryan Gallery, and the DiLaurenti Gallery. He has also exhibited widely in the United States and abroad. Hafftka's work is represented in the permanent collections of a number of museums, including: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Museum of Art, New York Public Library, Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum, Housatonic Museum of Art, Arizona State University Art Museum, National Gallery of Art, and Yeshiva University Museum. With the project Zreen Toyz, the French artist JLHB likes pushing aside the notion of composer or musician and often presents himself as Sounds Sculptor.
After few years in classical training on piano and percussions, at the beginning of the 70's he turns quickly to the improvised musics after his meetings with Herman Poole Blount, more known under the name of Sun Ra, and the abstract electronic scenes in Berlin. Since his first pieces created in 1970, he works the sound material following inspiration of the moment, a raw and instinctive approach by stratification where any imperfection or sound incident become a harshness on which to hang on atmospheres or reflections. In this way, he creates impalpable and timeless landscapes where vibrations, noises, and collages erase the structure of the piece.   http://zreentoyz.blogspot.com/    https://www.facebook.com/pages/Zreen-Toyz/187568951273681

METEK (Fredrik Nilsson) is a writer and Noise-Ambient project from Skåne County (Sweden). He is in experimental music since 1983 and, in 1986, he develops his own "MetekPhilosophy".
METEK released 80 albums and around 50 collaboration-works with artists like Mlehst, Telepherique, N.Strahl.N, Jliat, Martin Nordbeck, Fat Legs, Chefkirk, Soma, ToBo and NRYY.
About my collaborations : I have done huge compilations and mixes for "SwampParties". With friends, I spent nights at our nearby swamp and played some music on a quite large "boombox". I kept it very abstract but still with edge, and it's actually hard to find music like that. I spent much time on searching it… and, at the same period, I discovered Zreen Toyz and artists like Control Z, M.Nomized and Troj. And now, I am working with them… http://www.myspace.com/metektheone    http://www.discogs.com/artist/METEK+%283%29

"I have always had a passion for electronic music since I was a teenager. I built a small home studio with some very basic materials including a two tape recorders, test oscillators, a Farfisa and a Hammond organ, a spring reverb and tape delay echo unit. I was enamored at the time with the work of Musique Concrete and the work of Iannis Xenakis, Pierre Henry and Pierre Schafer. I also was intrigued by the work being done then at the Columbia Princeton Electronic Music Center under the direction of Vladimir Ussachevsky. I even sent some of my work to him which he graciously critiqued and suggested I contact Bob Moog whom at the time I had never heard of.
Subsequently I met Bob Moog and became fascinated with hardware synthesizers. My first synth was a Micro Moog that was not even midi enabled but did have that unique Moog sound. I then started to build a midi synthesizer studio with the addition of a Prophet 600, Yamaha TX7, Korg DW 8000, and several other synths and processing equipment. With an early DOS version of Cakewalk and a notation program called Personal Composer I started doing commercial work and did so as a supplement to my day job as a video tape editor working in an avante garde media center. Eventually hardware synths took over an entire room in my house and I was looking to find a more economical and convenient way to continue doing my music. That is when I found out about soft synths. I had been working with computers since the early 1980’s so making the transition was not a problem. I gave away or sold all of my hardware and built an entire studio in my computer and freed up a room in the process. But even with the most modern software I still had that desire to revisit the early years of electronic music when it was so enticing and fascinating to me. My music now embraces all of that but done with my own interpretation. I owe a great deal to the great electronic pioneers of the past like Louis and Bebe Barron who did the sound track to Forbidden Planet, Morton Subotnick who did amazing work with the Buchla synthesizer, Ilhan Mimaroglu, Bulent Arel (both from the Columbia Princeton Electronic Music Center), Oskar Sala’s work with Mixtur Trautonium and so many other great musical visionaries. I think that now the greatest resource for a musician is the Internet. It allows access to music from all over the world; connects musicians in ways that were never possible before, and provides a universal venue for distributing music. And as elusive as it has always been it seems that now the future is already here. In the last year I have been co-developing VSTi’s with Boris Kovalev. We have two synths available for PC’s and information can be found here:  http://m-rgt.com/index.html . To listen to more of my music on SoundCloud go here:  http://soundcloud.com/bobbotov "

Teacher of music, composer, pianist, musical critic. But more correct to think I'm between these directions and in couple of ones. I'm living at small town at Southern Ural, Russia. My musical experiments had started at 1999 from Jazz/Punk Rock, but this was not good idea for me and I had started my personal project - Moonsugar.- Drone/Ritual Ambient project which step by step transformed to electroacoustical avantgarde. Sometimes I re-record piano miniatures as albums parallel with electronics. What will be in future? I don't know yet...     http://moonsugarthedark.tumblr.com/

Wilhelm Matthies, based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, focuses on developing home made instruments blending ideas from various world instruments. The purpose is to open performance possibilities that tap into such histories yet reveal the newness of the instrument and the new performance situation. He is, at the same time, developing compositional strategies that both accommodate the non-standard tuning, sonic qualities and playing characteristics of these instruments but also allow other players to participate with the musical intent using relatively standard instruments. The composed improvisations feature cyclical variations. This compositional strategy thus allows the music to be written, performed, edited and listened to on many metaphoric levels, but always dealing with aspects of the theme of eternal return or impermanence. http://soundcloud.com/wilhelm-matthies

Guitarist and sound researcher, has been working in the musical world since the end of the 80s, exploring different musical genres and instruments. The desire to search for his own personal sound has led him to delve deeper into the technical and maufacturing characteristics of musical instruments to the point of making by hand a series of prototypes of guitars, basses, valve-amplifiers and analog effects. His current research is based on the creation of compositional structures obtained from the sums of tones and overtones produced by the strings of electric guitars and the feedback generated by amplification systems. Sevenguitars and Strings Resonance are his latest "solo" works taking their cue from this concept. Since 2007, he has been collaborating with ZAPRUDER Filmmakersgroup for the creation of films and installations’ soundtracks (Daimon, Pletora, Cock-Crow, Fault, All inclusive, Joule), as well as of musical projects (Criptofonia, S-wing and Suite). The works of the german artist Michael Frieske (aka \f:stYle or friestyle: sound artist and experimental painter) consciously withdraw themselves, both in the visual and within the auditive array, from clear definitions and do not commit to rigid dogmas or standards. therefore they can open a wide spectrum of expression. The groundwork of his art is the experimenting and improvising with colors and sounds and the use of coincidence as a conscious stylistic device. Because in his view it is the unpredictability, which develops new structures again and again.

Born in 1979, Felipe Barbosa is simply a human being who loves to play with sounds, but with a very unique way of feel. "Kyodake"is an introspective and at a time powerful EP!

Artoh lives in St Etienne (F) and working alone or together on different projects ("les Free son des iris sons", with Christophe Meulien and Picola Naine, live project/ netcollaboration with LeRouge on "Mélantopie"). Originally attracted by the video and editing, he jumped very quickly and naturally in sounding. Starting yesterday "sound packages" with samples and midi keyboard, he now works his compositions with rough concrete recordings. His concrete tracks combine collage and jubilant sense of the dramatic sound from which emerges an intense creativity, free of form.
